Winter Wedding Ideas

Looking for winter wedding ideas? Did you know winter is the least expensive time of the year to have a wedding? It’s a very magical time with white, sparkling snow, and happiness the holidays tend to bring. What better way to celebrate the season than a winter themed wedding? Keep in mind there is a very fine line between tacky and chic when planning a themed wedding.  It’s important to keep to a theme without forcing an overwhelming amount of similar, matching type elements in your guests’ face.

Try not to be cliche. There is a clever way of going about planning a themed wedding that will not only impress, but leave your guests wishing they thought of it first.

Need a little inspiration? Keep in mind winter is full of very cold weather (in many places), lots of sparkle, and white complements everything. Color palettes tend to stay on the cool side, but warm colors also find a place to fit in. See below for some winter wedding ideas to get you started.

Color Palettes

The first step you want to take when planning your winter wedding is choosing a color scheme. This can be one of the most difficult decisions you make as a bride. Rest assure though, because once color choice is decided, it helps everything else such as décor, attire, and menu options fall easily into place.

Wedding Flowers

Choosing your wedding bouquet and flower arrangements can also be hard to decide with the many options that are available. Work closely with your florist to make sure they understand your image and how you would like your flowers to look. If fresh flowers aren't your style, try a mixed media bouquet. There are many materials to use such as paper, cotton, and brooches that can be used as an alternative style bouquet.
