Carlisle and Brad's shark themed wedding was truly one of a kind! Their wedding was assembled together mashing up the various interests of the couple, from the bride's love of sharks to the addition of a peacock palette and rustic, country feel. Separately one wouldn't think those elements go together, but somehow it all worked out and the photos shine with laughter and love. Special thanks to Erika Follansbee Photography for this super fabulous submission. Enjoy!

"We met on Match.com! Funny how this all worked out – my roommate at the time convinced me to sign up on Match, as I was a bit skeptical of the whole online dating scene. Thanks to her, I met one of the coolest people I know – my husband! Here comes the cheesiness! Brad was actually the first and only guy I went out on a date with from Match. After our second date, we cancelled our memberships and here we are. Trust me, I know how much we lucked out and it’s borderline annoying, lol."
"I went in having an idea of what I wanted and came out with something completely different and it worked out so much better than I thought! I’m a tomboy and don’t like dress shopping, so I didn’t want to spend a ton of time searching for the 'perfect' dress. I just wanted to find something I felt comfortable and confident in. I got super lucky (yet again!) and it was the third dress I tried on. It was a one shoulder, A-line dress with beautiful embroidery details. Most importantly, it was comfortable and knew I could dance all night without it falling apart or giving the guests an unexpected show."

"We held both our ceremony and reception on Brad’s family’s property. The landscaping there was absolutely stunning and allowed us to set up all the fun games and entertainment we really wanted to have for the wedding. We had the ceremony in the woods, in between two large, gorgeous oak trees that are at least 350 years old. It was sentimental for the family, plus it made for some awesome photos. Also, we had a champagne bar set up for guests walking into the ceremony to get the fun started early!"

"Since we weren’t at a venue, we had to set up pretty much everything ourselves inside and outside the tent. Brad and his groomsmen were amazing with the setup the morning of – in fact, he made them do so much that they called him 'Bradzilla' by the end of the day! It was hilarious."

"My absolute favorite part of our reception was the mechanical shark! It sounds borderline tacky I know, but people had an awesome time riding that thing and we absolutely loved seeing all the pics of our guests riding it! We also set up cornhole boards and had baskets of glowsticks and bubbles for everyone. I think having different things for guests to do at a wedding makes it so much more fun and memorable for people."

"Our favorite moment was when we walked from the woods into our reception, seeing all our guests having a great time on the mechanical shark and playing the games we set up. Seeing it all come together after all that hard work made it worth it. And at the end of the day, it truly is an awesome feeling to have everyone you love in one place to celebrate with you!"
